Difficile pour moi de mettre davantage d'étoiles à ce roman des seventies et des crises existentielles des cinq principaux personnages de ce roman américain. Jonathan Franzen sait dépeindre très minutieusement les sentiments et les émois des familles. L'époque est admirablement analysée et retranscrite à travers les différentes générations des membres de la famille du pasteur. Attachant ce pasteur et ses batailles morales. Compréhensibles tous ses emportements humains. Attractive son écriture.
Mais, au bout de deux cents des sept cents pages que compte le roman, j'avais le sentiment d'avoir fait le tour du sujet. Peut-être le reprendrais-je un jour où je serais plus nostalgique et coincée dans une cabane :-)
