"On n'est pas dans le futurisme, mais dans un drame bourgeois ou un thriller atmosphérique"
La Fabrica presents the complete guide to the photographic festival PHotoESPANA 2018, which will take place between 6 July and 26 August 2018. This year's Carte Blanche-curated by Cristina de Middel and Martin Parr-brings together Magnum authors who have dared to play and have fun with photography, as well as an anthological exhibition of works by the Cameroonian photographer Samuel Fosso and the group exhibition Great World Finals. The portrait genre will be present in the festival, with the exhibition Cecil Beaton: Icons of the 20th Century, and the importance of collecting will too be dealt with, in an anthological show of Russian photography with original works by Lissitzky, Rodchenko and Zelma among many others. There will also be a panorama of Spanish photography, from the Pictorialism of Tomas de Acillona to Carmen Calvo's interventions, a Carlos Canovas retrospective, the most important series by Montserrat Soto and Ricardo Cases' photographic reflections on Eastern Spain. The first edition of the TransEurope programme and the 10th edition of the Trasatlantica forum will also be part of this year's edition.
