While some approaches are very complete, in France as abroad, the main figures of ecological architecture define themselves rather as researchers and explorers grappling with the emergencies of the social, climatic and energetic issues facing us today.

In the seventies, France was a pioneer of bio-climatic architecture. Today France is gradually taking its place in this powerful global movement. The quality and the diversity of the works presented in this work show that a French input is already underway.
